The Cougar boys basketball season came to a close last night, but we couldn't be more proud of how far they have come this season.
Anna Bench, a long time Instructional Assistant for the school passed away over the weekend. We are all saddened with the loss of a lady who gave so much to the students and community of Echo. Anna had been part of the Echo staff for 13 years and fixture of stability and support to staff and students. We will be doing a community/school celebration ceremony on the football field today (2/20) at 3pm.

The Cougar boys were selected as a wildcard team and have advanced to the 1st round of the State Playoffs. They will travel to play Lost River on Tuesday (2/20) time TBD. We will be doing a STATE SEND OFF tomorrow (2/19) at noon in front of the school. Let's send them off in style 💙💛💙💛
Averi Fisher finished 3rd place in the region today, qualifying her for the girls' state tournament next weekend in Portland. She won her 3rd place match by major decision 15 to 1. WAY TO GO AVERI!
WHAT A GAME!!! Lady Cougars came up a little short to Powder Valley in a 51-55 finish in overtime for the District Championship. Congratualtions on your 2nd place finish and advancing to the State Playoffs.
Congratulations to freshman wrestler, Averi Fisher who went 3-0 today. She will be competing in the 4A/3A/2A/1A district semifinals tomorrow morning (2/17).
The Lady Cougars beat Nixy 63-30 and easily advance to the District Championship game at 3pm tomorrow (2/17)
The Echo Cougar boys lost 44-43 to Cove in their district game. It was a close game start to finish. Although this was not the outcome they were hoping for, we are proud of them and their efforts this season.
Congratulations to both our boys and girls basketball teams for earning their way to the District Tournament, taking place in Baker. The Cougar boys will take the court at 3:30 today (2/15) against Cove. The Lady Cougars will not play until Friday (2/16) at 2:00. They will play the winner of tonight's Nixyaawii/Imbler game. For those of you who cannot attend in person, the games will be streamed live on the NFHS Network.
