  • Position Description: Student Success Instructor 

Echo School District is seeking a strong individual for the position of Student Success Instructor. Successful candidate should possess a strong work ethic, be a self motivated individual and be comfortable teaching students, working with business and industry, and be able to connect with post secondary educational programs.  This is a full time position that will focus on helping students mainly in grades 5-12 to establish life and career experience.  They will both teach in the classroom while also working with students on an individual basis to provide them with the tools, confidence, and knowledge to be successful post graduation. 

Qualifications:

      Bachelors Degree or Higher

      Has or has the ability to obtain and Oregon Teaching Certificate 

      Experience in the business and industry setting as well as working with youth. 

 

Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities:

      Has experience working with students in a wide age range in an educational setting.

      Has experience and connections working with local business and industry professionals. 

      Knowledge of career and occupational resources, trends, and opportunities.

      Can make or has strong connections with business and industry in our area.

      Can make or has connections with educational opportunities.

      College admission requirements, financial aid requirements, and training necessary for future careers.

      Can comfortably work with students and adults

      Strong work ethic, and self motivated 

      Ability to provide specialized assistance and information concerning career planning and college entrance to students, parents, staff, and community agencies.

      Develop and provide information and materials related to career/college/trades opportunities for students.

      Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.

      Develop creative programs and/or provide connections for students to hands on applied learning in their job or career field.
